MORE INFO —
A personalized tool to help East Asian students with adjustment in Canada and integration into the local community. This app serves as an assistant, friend, home, and guide for international students.
OVERALL DESIGN —
It was important for me to convey the culture of East Asia through the design, ensuring the app would serve as a safe haven and a home away from home for international students. To achieve this, I visited several museums during my research, aiming to create patterns and illustrations that reflect the rich cultural heritage and resemble authentic calligraphy. This approach was essential in crafting an atmosphere that connects users with their roots and provides a sense of comfort and belonging.
PRIMARY DELIVERABLE —
The primary deliverable of my project is a mobile application featuring four main sections in the menu. On the main page, users can find the nearest shops, restaurants, and grocery stores with products from East Asia. The "Card" section includes a personal student card for saving money on purchases and collecting rewards. In the "Offers" section, personalized weekly deals help students accumulate bonuses. The "Profile" section allows users to update their information, language preferences, and more.

The app aims to provide students with a personalized tool to integrate into society through events and familiar cuisine, while also helping them save money during their adaptation period.
SECONDARY DELIVERABLE —
As a secondary deliverable, I created a set of three trifold brochures aimed at promoting the mobile application. These brochures include illustrations of the brand's main mascots, corporate elements, and a QR code encouraging people to download the app from the App Store or Play Market. Additionally, I created a set of stickers featuring the main characters from the illustrations.
